Salam says pre-Taif presidents always led cabinet meetings
In response to Head of the Change and Reform bloc MP Michel Aoun’s statement, Minister of Culture Tamam Salam said on Tuesday that late MP Albert Mokheiber never led the cabinet meetings because only the president had the authority to preside over the meetings before the Taif Agreement.
Salam called on MP Aoun to choose the right example to support his rhetoric and not to compare the Lebanese situation before and after the Taif Agreement, because “we have surpassed this issue.”
