Qabbani: Only the state has the right to defend citizens’ freedom
Mufti of the Lebanese Republic Sheikh Mohammed Rachid Qabbani said in a press release issued on Wednesday that the “national dialogue is the only way to achieve consensus which in turn will bring security and stability to Lebanon.”
“The state alone has the right to defend its citizens’ freedom,” Qabbani said.
Qabbani also said that the state would prosper “as long as Lebanese respect each other and do not resort to weapons to resolve their political disagreements.”
