Environment Minister Antoine Karam on Thursday confirmed that there was no further information on the appointment of the next Lebanese army commander.
“Our position is clear and to the point: His Excellency the president is a military man and knows the exact specifications the next commander should have,” Karam said.
Karam said the security situation across Lebanese was “unacceptable” and emphasized that all weapons outside the framework of legitimacy should be discussed around the national dialogue table.”
