Rush to approve electoral redistricting questionable
In an interview with the Voice of Lebanon radio station on Tuesday, MP Michel Pharaoun questioned the rush to approve the electoral redistricting.
“I do not know why Speaker Nabih Berri did not postpone this matter for a couple of weeks and give the specialized committee, which was working quickly and seriously, enough time before approving a complete electoral law,” he said.
He concluded that the opposition’s aim was to avoid the roundtable dialogue, which will take place under the auspices of President Michel Sleiman.
