Detainees released without compromising public
Lebanon’s Justice Minister on Tuesday requested inmates at the Roumieh prison end their hunger strike and have confidence in Lebanon’s justice and laws.
“The relevant courts have issued the release of those whose legal status necessitates release,” Minister Ibrahim Najjar noted.
“It is my responsibility in the Ministry of Justice, under the law and with full respect for the independence of the judicial system, to speed up work on the cases of detainees without compromising public and private rights,” he concluded.
