Phalange Party Condemns Neglecting Church Authorities in Lassa
The Phalange Party on Monday rejected the handing over of the Lassa Church keys by Hizbullah to Free Patriotic Movement leader Michel Aoun, saying it neglects clerical authorities.
The party outlined the stand in a statement issued by its politburo.
The statement said "non-Christians had confiscated the church endowment in Lassa."
The Phalange Party "condemns the (abortive) attempt to blow up the church."
It warned against "persisting efforts to conceal Lebanese citizens who had been detained, or went missing, in Syria," saying such efforts would lead to "negative repercussions that reflect on efforts aimed at achieving a comprehensive reconciliation."
