Syrian military reinforcement at the Lebanese Northern borders
Citizens of a Lebanese border village noticed on Sunday an increased Syrian military presence across the border, most significantly at Tal al-Dabbousieh close to the border passage between al-Abboudieh and al- Addousieh villages.
Border sources told Al-Mustaqbal newspaper on Monday that the increase does not seem temporary, since troops dug trenches and erected military tents. Some Syrian forces reportedly assumed positions near the Al-Nahri al-Kabir river, along the line between the passages of al-Abboudieh and al-Arida.
Eyewitnesses noticed an increased presence in areas facing the villages of Janin, Dbabiyeh, and al-Noura.
