Deputy Parliament Speaker Farid Makari on Tuesday praised the "civilized initiative" adopted by Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea and expressed "regret" because Christian leaders affiliated with Hizbullah responded by "digging up graves of war."
"Geagea”s message of peace was, unfortunately, met by … attempts to awaken nightmares," Makari said in a statement.
He urged "Christian leaders to realize importance of looking into the future with tolerance … let them remember that Christianity means forgiveness."
