We Will Not Abandon Our Convictions
Future Movement MP Samir Jisr said during a Suhour on Thursday in Tripoli that the meeting between MP Saad Hariri and a Hezbollah delegation at Qoreitem was positive development after years of tension.
“We will not abandon our political positions, convictions and alliances, and we are not asking other parties to present any concessions concerning this issue,” Jisr said.
Jisr said that reconciliation was in the national interest, and that negotiation and dialogue had to replace war.
MP Mustafa Allouch, who also participated in the Suhour, said that that some parties were trying to frighten the people by spreading rumors about Syrian troops in Lebanon, which, he said, was no longer possible.
Jisr said that Future’s central mission was to prepare for the coming elections. He said that reconciliations were intended to transfer political differences to parliament and the national dialogue.
“No one can cancel our political decision,” he said.
