Moawad for Lebanese Forces-Marada Reconciliation
March 14 General Secretariat official Michel Moawad said Thursday reconciliation between the Lebanese Forces and Marada Movement should top all intra-Christian reconciliation efforts.
Moawad made the remark to reporters after meeting Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea at the latter”s residence in Meerab, north of Beirut.
Any intra-Christian reconciliation should be based on "the national principles that the Christians have adopted throughout Lebanon”s history," Moawad said.
He said all efforts should support the initiative launched by the Maronite League to arrange intra-Christian reconciliation sponsored by Bkirki.
