Smuggling Ongoing Despite Syrian Deployment
Future Movement MP Ahmad Fatfat told the Voice of Lebanon radio station on Friday that everyone knows that smuggling is still happening, despite Syrian deployment along the northern borders.
He called for proper border demarcation as soon as possible and for a greater Lebanese security forces presence.
He expressed his surprise about claims that the two American journalists who were missing had entered Syrian territories illegally and said that he would wait for an investigation’s results.
He also said that the preparations for Hezbollah-Hariri meeting were improving slowly and concluded that people obstructing Christian reconciliations were affecting other reconciliation attempts.
