Muslims Convinced Lebanon Cannot Remain Without Coexistence
The Grand Mufti of the Lebanese Republic Sheikh Mohammed Rashid Qabbani said during the official opening of the Mohammad al-Amin Mosque on Saturday that Muslims were convinced that Lebanon could not survive without coexistence among its people.
He added that Lebanon was committed to its Arab identity, to belonging to the Arab world and its political decisions.
“We announce our continuing commitment to former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri’s path,” he said.
He added that assassinated former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri never rejected any projects that might benefit Lebanon.
“I say to the Christians who share this achievement with us: we will remain together in Lebanon, hand in hand, and we call on God to preserve our coexistence and unity,” he concluded.
