Minister of Justice Ibrahim Najjar, in an interview with the Future News on Tuesday, said that he hoped that Constitutional Council law would be approved because a draft version of the law had been agreed upon.
He added that this law was designed to create a council that would be transparent.
He said that the parliament had the right to explain and amend constitutional terms and if it decided to transfer its authority to the council, it would be because, “it is sovereign and independent.”
