National Liberal Party head Dory Chamoun said that the 2009 parliamentary elections would be the most important event in recent times.
“This will be a fateful achievement, either Lebanon’s enemies win or we will destroy them. There is no scope for retraction, reluctance or apologies,” he said, speaking during a celebration organized by his party in Sin al-Fil on Saturday, during which a street was named in honor of Danny Camil Chamoun.
“We must contribute to the electoral battle as a sacred duty. We, in the March 14 alliance, will be in the battle to preserve freedom, sovereignty, and to put the country’s interest above all,” Chamoun said. He added that from now on, “we assure you that our position is the position of all March 14.”
