Hezbollah’s Ideology, Not Its Arms, Is the Problem
Deputy Kataeb Party leader Salim Sayegh said that Hezbollah’s having weapons was not a problem but that problems lay in Hezbollah’s ideology and its connection with Iran.
In an interview with New TV on Sunday night, he said that his party has begun several times to forge dialogue with Hezbollah precisely because of major controversial political issues, but Hezbollah did not respond.
He affirmed that the roundtable dialogue will discuss the defense strategy as stated in Doha Agreement, adding that the issue of expanding the dialogue must not be a subject of distraction.
He added that increasing the numbers of interlocutors will harm the efficiency of dialogue.
