Geagea Ready to Meet Franjieh, Praises Nasrallah-Hariri Meeting
Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea on Monday said he is ready to meet Marada chief Suleiman Franjieh and praised the meeting between Mustaqbal Movement head Saad Hariri and Hizbullah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah as "positive and encouraging."
"The painful past, for which all (factions) are responsible, should be folded and a new chapter should be launched," Geagea said.
Geagea also said he "wouldn”t mind meeting Nasrallah."
He rejected calls to expand the list of participants in the Conference on National Dialogue.
Commenting on the U.S. helicopter raid against a target in Syria, Geagea said: "In principle we are against the expansion of military action anywhere in the Middle East. But practically, what should have happened had it been true that Qaida fighters were based there? I don”t know."
