March 14 Wins NDU Student Elections
The first student council elections ended Friday night in the Notre Dame University (NDU) and Saint Joseph University (USJ).
The March 14 student alliance won a sweeping victory with 26 out of a possible 30 seats. The alliance has split the presidency of the council, and the Kataeb party appoints the student council president for the next six months, to be followed by a Lebanese Forces student delegate for another six months.
The March 14 student alliance also won the majority of seats in the USJ faculties in Lebanon’s North and Bekaa, but lost to the March 8 student alliance in faculties in Beirut.
