Sfeir Fears That Lebanese Will Regret Intransigence
Maronite Patriarch Nasrallah Boutros Sfeir said on Monday said that the people of Lebanon will regret it later if they insist on keeping the situation in Lebanon the same.
He called on everyone to carry out their responsibility and learn from the mistakes of the past because many Lebanese have emigrated because their hopes of reaching agreement and reducing disparity among the people have been disappointed.
During the opening of the 42nd session of the Catholic Patriarchs and Bishops Council, he regretted the divisions among Christians in particular, and called for making efforts to reduce tensions within the Christian community as have been made among other confessions.
