Arrest of Five In Connection With Terrorism Confirmed
The Army Command has confirmed the arrest of five suspects in connection with “terrorist acts,” according to a statement released Monday.
“In the light of ongoing investigations into the elements of the terrorist network and as a result of joint security efforts and the cooperation of the leadership of the Palestinian factions in the camps, the directorate of intelligence in the city of Tripoli and the Beddawi camp have arrested Hamza Amin Qassem, alias Abu Mohammed, Khaled al-Jaber, alias Abu Wael, Nader al-Ali, alias Abu Saleh, Said Sleiman Rashed, alias Abu Tariq,” the statement read.
“Muhammad Hassan, alias Abu al-Jarrah, was also arrested in the Ain al-Hilweh camp,” the Army Command said.
The army command said it reaffirmed its “determination to combat terrorism in all ways and possibilities” and requested those involved in acts of violence “take the initiative to surrender to the army or security forces.”
