Mufti Qabbani Denounces Terrorism In The Name Of Islam
Grand Mufti Sheikh Mohammad Rashid Qabbani condemned “fictitious headlines, especially those of Islamic organizations and terrorist movements … in the name of religion to achieve their goals.”
“Anyone who accuses Islam or Muslims of terrorism…is himself a terrorist, because such acts are rejected by all,” he said at the inauguration of the Saleh Mosque in Yemen on Thursday.
“Islam is fighting terrorism in the name of religion and calls for moderation, love and cooperation among all people.”
“Lebanon is not a source or country of terrorism, and what has happened and continues to happen [in Lebanon] is the work of terrorists produced outside the country,” Qabbani added.
