Marada Intends To Commit a Crime against Me
Lebanese Forces MP Farid Habib said that the Marada Movement’s Wednesday statement was a clear declaration of the movement’s intention to commit “a criminal act against me.” Habib said he had received several threats following the “hurtful” Koura incident in September, in which LF and Marada supporters clashed.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Habib added that he considered the Marada statement a notification to the Prosecutor-General Office, President Michel Sleiman and the Maronite League, all of whom were determined to accomplish Christian reconciliation.
He said that the history of Marada was littered with “crimes,” not only against the LF but all the Christians who didn’t share the movement’s opinions.
