Germany Bans Al-Manar
Germany’s Interior Ministry has banned the Hezbollah-run al-Manar television station from hotels across the country.
The channel can still be viewed in private houses across Germany, according to a report published by Reuters Friday.
German Interior Minister Wolfgang Schauble warned the channel against violating the German constitution and “not facilitating” international communication and understanding.
The ministry said the ban includes fundraising for the channel and its studios.
The United States banned the channel in 2004 for being a “terrorist organization.”
