FPM: We shall Politically Execute Anyone Daring to Attack our Leader Aoun
The Free Patriotic Movement has threatened to "politically execute" anyone daring to attack the group or its leader Gen. Michel Aoun.
"Let it be known, from this day on, anyone daring to attack us or our national leader Gen. Michel Aoun shall be politically executed," FPM MP Shamel Mozaya said in remarks published Monday.
Mozaya launched a vehement attack against Democratic Gathering leader and MP Walid Jumblat.
He criticized "organized, programmed and funded campaigns working on silencing the free voice and the national program lead by FPM for building Lebanon."
"When we were ferociously fighting in defense of Lebanon, you (Walid Jumblat) were killing and forcing people of their homes, you confiscated their properties and robbed their wealth and you prevented them from returning to their homes," Mozaya said.
"You issued amnesty laws only to prevent people from holding you accountable, to make us forget your black past; if it wasn”t for such laws, you Walid Jumblat and those like you would be behind bars and not at palaces and grand serails." he added.
Mozaya went on to describe Aoun”s upcoming visit to Syria, saying to those opposing the trip: "When you crawled to Anjar to deliver Lebanon to Ghazi Kanaan, we were detained in Anjar charged with defending Lebanon. When Anjar was a political and financial income to you, we generals passed by Anjar on our way to Syrian imprisonment; it was your cooperation with the occupation only to enjoy yourselves, while the General (Aoun) refused all that. You entered Syria with lowered heads while the general will enter Syria with his head held high, a true national leader of all Lebanon to establish reconciliation between Lebanese and Syrians."
