MP Aoun Will Visit Those He “Loyally” Belongs To
The General Coordinator of the March 14 coalition Fares Soueid said that no one should be surprised by Change and Reform bloc leader MP Michel Aoun’s prospective visit to Syria because Aoun’s political choices were clear and “he was visiting those he loyally belongs to.”
In Thursday’s statement, he hoped that Aoun would find answers on the extremist group Fatah al-Islam leader Shaker al-Abssi and the fate of the Lebanese detainees in Syrian prisons.
He added that all the people of Lebanon supported President Michel Sleiman’s visit to Tehran because he was making efforts to bring back Lebanon’s important role on the Arab, Islamic and international level.
