NLP Supports Sleiman’s International Visits
The National Liberal Party said that President Michel Sleiman’s official visits aimed to show Lebanon’s openness toward other countries and to forge optimum relations on the basis of international law.
In a statement issued after its weekly meeting led by the party’s leader Dori Chamoun, NLP also said that it welcomed all aid and donations as long as they did not affect the people’s will and choices.
It called on political parties to support the state’s institutions, away from policies and conflicts.
He criticized some leaders’ visits to foreign countries for political purposes and for the purpose of obstructing the implementation of the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701.
