Saniora to Subsidize Fuel Oil Prices
Prime Minister Fouad Saniora on Thursday agreed to demands by Parliament to subsidize fuel oil prices by LL 3,000 throughout the winter season.
A follow-up Parliament session convened on Thursday under Speaker Nabih Berri to discuss social security, pensions and the promotion of officers.
Al Mustaqbal Movement MP Ammar Houry called for the establishment of an "investigation commission" to look into corruption starting from the Taef accord until the present day.
MP Butros Harb agreed with Houry.
