Unresolved Issues between Lebanon and Syria
Future MP Hadi Hobeich said that there were two main issues that should not be overlooked the by Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun in his visit to Damascus. These were the October 13 “martyrs” and the Lebanese detainees in Syria, since he caused these things.
Hobeich said that any visit that did not address these issues was unjustifiable.
In an interview with LBC television on Wednesday Hobeich said there were still basic unresolved issues between Lebanon and Syria. These were primarily the Shebaa Farms and the Special Tribunal, “especially as the Syrian regime was the main suspect of being implicated in it.”
Hobeich also said that the Syrian regime had begun requesting people in Akkar to vote for March 8 coalition in the 2009 parliamentary elections and to vote for former MPs related to Syria.
