Implement Taif before Amending It
Following a meeting with President Michel Sleiman in Baabda on Wednesday, Former Prime Minister Najib Mikati told reporters that they discussed the current situation in the country and the Taif Accord. He called for full implementation of the Taif before discussing its amendment.
Mikati said, “We demanded that all the participants in the roundtable dialogue abide by its outcomes, because in the latest sessions we heard a lot of positive talk concerning stopping the political bickering and resuming reconciliations.”
