March 8 Will Obstruct Elections Once Polls Swing In March 14’s Favour
National Bloc leader Carlos Eddé told LBC television on Friday that March 8 alliance’s political parties always express objections when they realize that the situation was not in their favor.
He said that foreign financial support during the elections will be strong on both sides, opposition and majority, and added that if the statistics showed that March 14 as likely to win the parliamentary majority, the March 8 alliance would attempt to obstruct the elections.
He also said that his position was clear and well-known, even before the Cedar Revolution, and his disagreement with the parliamentary majority was over tactics and the management of policies in the upcoming elections.
“Losing [the elections] alone, if I announced my candidacy as independent and not on March 14 alliance’s lists, will be better than losing while adopting something I do not believe in,” he said.
