No Actual Refusal of Proposed Defense Strategy
Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea said that his national defense strategy proposal, presented during the national dialogue session on Monday, included extensive and objective analyses resulting from huge preparation efforts. Geagea added that the study included no contradictions, ambiguities or gaps that would make it easily refused.
In an interview with al-Diyar daily on Wednesday, Geagea said, “I asked everybody about their remarks after presenting it, including [Head of Loyalty to the Resistance bloc] MP Mohammad Raad. There were no reactions or actual refusal unless some wanted to reject the choice [of setting a national defense strategy] as a whole.”
