A 1701-like resolution would isolate Gaza
Future Movement MP Ahmad Fatfat told Voice of Lebanon radio station on Monday that any resolution like the UNSCR 1701 in Gaza would be an isolation of the Gaza strip from the other Palestinian cities.
He said that Israel wanted this since it would ensure its safety and the Palestinian cause would be “gone with the wind.”
Fatfat also said that there was awareness among the Lebanese leaders that everybody knows that Lebanon has no interest in opening any front against Israel despite some “odd” voices that accuse the Arab states of playing a role in the Israeli attack against Gaza.
