Iran Seeks Strife in the Arab Region
Mufti of Mount Lebanon Sheikh Mohammad Ali al-Jouzou said the “Resistance Heroes,” who achieved the “greatest victory” over Israel and defeated it in the 2006 July War, had become “preachers” and “teachers” teaching the Arab world the true meaning of struggle and resistance and instigating them to open the Rafah border crossing “by force.”
In a statement on Monday, Jouzou said that the truth had been revealed: “Iran is using Lebanon as a base to launch rockets on the Arabs and attack them. It is also seeking strife in the whole Arab region, because it has inflamed the sectarian strife in Iraq, since the appearance of what they called the ‘Islamic Revolution’ in Tehran,” he said.
Jouzou said that this Islamic revolution was the reason for sending “traitors” to America to “conspire” with it to occupy Iraq and change its identity. It was not only collusion, he added, but the betrayal of Arabs.
Jouzou also said that the Iranians were exploiting the bloodshed in Gaza to attack the Arabs and instigate hatred among Palestinians and Arabs.
