Lebanon Ready for Any Arab Summit
Lebanon said Tuesday it is ready to take part in any Arab Summit Conference in line with the Arab league charter and expressed hope that the meeting would be held in an atmosphere of consensus.
Information Minister Tareq Mitri told reporters after a cabinet session "Qatar”s call for convening an urgent summit was not specifically tackled."
"However, it is known that the president had adopted a stand in favor of convening a summit conference and the cabinet called on Dec. 30 for convening an urgent Arab Summit on Gaza," Mitri added.
The cabinet, Miri explained, also discussed clauses of the state budget bill, and further discussion would take place at a later date. He did not elaborate on the remark.
