Graziano Urges Restraint after Rocket Attack on Israel
UNIFIL commander Maj. Gen. Claudio Graziano urged restraint on Wednesday following a rocket attack from southern Lebanon on northern Israel.
"Graziano urges maximum restraint and is working with both parties to maintain the cessation of hostilities," UNIFIL spokeswoman Yasmina Bouziane told Agence France Presse, referring to Israel and Lebanon.
Her comments came after several rockets slammed into northern Israel early Wednesday.
"The rockets impacted in open areas causing no damage or injuries," she said. "There were no immediate claims of responsibility."
Bouziane added that the Israeli army had returned fire with two rounds of artillery.
