Shamseddine: rocket-launching erroneous and doesn’t serve Lebanon
In an interview with ANB television on Wednesday, State minister Ibrahim Shamseddine said that the cabinet perceived the launching of new rockets from South Lebanon into Israel Wednesday morning as erroneous, as it did not serve Lebanon’s interest.
He said the Lebanese were not responsible for the rocket-launching, adding that the cabinet maintained its stance, which complied with Lebanese popular views.
Shamseddine said the Lebanese army, in cooperation with UNIFIL, should be more cautious and more measures should be taken to stop such incidents. “Soft discourse and political caution should be left to the cabinet,” he said. He concluded that if the identity of the launchers became known, then it should be publicized to serve as deterrence to others.
