Shame on exploiting Sleimane participation in Doha meeting
Speaking to Free Lebanon radio station on Saturday, Lebanese Forces MP Antoine Zahra stated that it is a shame to exploit the participation of President Michel Sleimane in the Doha meeting, noting that Lebanon should not be implicated in conflicts between Arabs. He regretted the disagreement on holding the summit over the Gaza crisis in Qatar as the conditions to hold it, are yet incomplete.
LF MP also thanked Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah and the party’s wisdom for not involving Lebanon in any war and preventing conflicts, despite criticizing President Michel Sleimane and some Arab countries.
As for ties with Damascus, Zahra noted that “we were promised that the new diplomatic ties between Lebanon and Syria would lead to the establishment of embassies and the naming of ambassadors before the end of 2008, but nothing was accomplished until now”.
