Jouzo Slams Iran, Calls On Hamas to Reject Deals at Its Expense
Mufti of Mount Lebanon Sheikh Mohammad Ali Jouzo slammed Iran’s claims it was behind the victory in the Gaza Strip, adding that Tehran wanted to assume a role which it had not attribute to in any shape or form.
In a statement issue on Tuesday, Jouzo said that Gazan’s suffered severely due to the “savage offensive,” but after the initiative of Saudi King Abdullah Bin Abdel Aziz to reconcile Arabs, Arabs and Palestinians should cooperate in order to confront the “Israeli enemy.”
He emphasized the importance of responding to Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak’s call for a Palestinian meeting in Egypt, because Cairo was the closest to the Palestinians.
He concluded that Hamas should thank the Saudi king and reject those who were striking deals at its expense, adding they aimed at instigating disparities among Arabs.
