Karam: No funding without balancing income and expenditure
Minister of Environment Tony Karam told ANB television on Wednesday that calling the Cabinet to ensure money without balancing the income and expenditure was an impossible issue.
He added that raising political rhetoric for solutions was easy, while the current situation showed a different reality. He noted that the financial problems were still present, and it was reflected not only in the necessity of providing the South Council with 60 billion LL, but also in resolving other crises.
Karam noted that the budget of his ministry “amounts 0.04% of the state budget, and we have no problem with that, since we know other matters are a priority and still need to be tackled, such as electricity.”
