Hajj Again Refrains from Appearing in Court to Confront Fatah Islam Suspect
Brig. Gen. Ali Hajj, ex-commander of the Internal Security Forces, refrained again from appearing in court to confront Fatah al-Islam suspect Ahmed Merhi.
Hajj, who is held in Roumieh prison along with three other generals charged with involvement in the 2005 assassination of former Premier Rafik Hariri, refused to go to court in handcuffs.
Prosecutor Saqr Saqr has decided to set another hearing.
Brig. Gen. Jamil Sayyed, one of the four generals, has up till now refrained nine times from appearing in court in handcuffs to confront Merhi.
