No involvement of Sleimane in categorical alliances
Lebanese Forces MP Antoine Zahra told as-Sharq newspaper that the March 14 alliance did not attempt to involve President Michel Sleimane in categorical alliances, noting that it was a shame to embroil the president’s name in political conflicts when he carried the role of being a consensus president.
Zahra added that Lebanon would witness a considerable challenge if Hezbollah turn over its weapons and he expressed the LF’s readiness to meet with all parties. He affirmed that a meeting between LF Executive Council leader Samir Geagea and Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah was unlikely to occur.
