Mouawad Calls on Emigrants to Engage in Lebanon’s Issues
Michel Mouawad, a member of the March 14 General Secretariat, asked Lebanese emigrants in Australia, to engage in Lebanon’s issues and maintain their patriotism.
In a meeting in Sydney, Australia on Tuesday that was organized by the general secretariat of the alliance he said, “What certain parties could not take through assassinations, they will not take through ballots.”
“Your role is very important and it will be decisive in the Northern regions of Zgharta, Koura and Batroun. The Syrians have governed the North with an iron fist [during the hegemony period] but today the North should have its say,” he added.
Mouawad pledged that he would work so that Lebanon’s emigrant community would be granted the right to vote in Lebanon’s elections from abroad.
