The Council of Maronite Bishops on Wednesday criticized declining political rhetoric and unethical election campaigns.
"Political rhetoric has declined to its lowest levels," the Bishops said in a statement after their monthly meeting in Bkirki.
They also urged the Lebanese "to salvage the nation from the deteriorating condition."
The statement hoped the June 7 elections would bring to power those who would be good representatives and that the polls wouldn”t be effected by fraud.
