2 MPs from North Lebanon, Including Alloush, Possible Assassination Targets
The Lebanese Army Command has warned two MPs from the north that they could be targeted by extremists, several lawmakers announced during the Media and Communications Committee meeting on Thursday.
Media reports said Friday that the MPs brought up the issue along with several other topics during the committee”s meeting that was attended by more than 60 lawmakers.
They reportedly said the attacks on MP Mustafa Alloush and the second legislator whose name was not revealed, could be carried out by extremists, including Fatah al-Islam, after the deadline for announcing candidacies for the June 7 parliamentary elections expires.
