We And Hizbullah Agree On Same Principles
The head of Change and Reform parliamentary bloc Gen. Michel Aoun said that he and Hizbullah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah are personally targeted.
"We have little communication between us and we don”t usually need it, for we share and agree on the same principles," Aoun said in an interview with Hizbullah”s al-Manar television on Friday on the occasion of the 4th anniversary of the signing of the paper of understanding between his Free Patriotic Movement and the Shiite group.
He said the understanding has created harmony among the components of the country and contributed to the July 2006 victory in the war with Israel.
He added that following the July 2006 war, Israel armed militias and fundamentalists in northern Lebanon.
Aoun said reports that Israel would go to war with Lebanon if the political opposition wins the spring 2009 elections is a strategic error.
