Rain storm knocks out power in much of capital
Power was out in large stretches of Beirut on Tuesday due to the rain storm in the last couple of days. The Beirut districts of Hamra, Verdun, Qoreitem, and Talet al-Khayat witnessed a major power cut that spanned from 8 p.m. until after 11 p.m.
The Civil Aviation Department at Rafik Hariri International Airport predicted sunny weather and warmer temperatures for Thursday and Friday. Temperatures along the coast will vary between 8 and 21 degrees Celcius, between 0 and 13 degrees in the mountains and between 2 and 14 degrees in the Bekaa Valley.
