March 14 out of March 8-formed Cabinet
Speaking to Future News Television on Thursday, March 14 General Secretariat coordinator Fares Souaid stated that the alliance will not participate in the cabinet formed by March 8 coalition if it wins the upcoming parliamentary elections.
He noted that the alliance will form an opposition and said this issue should not be considered a division among the Lebanese.
Raising widely the wiretapping issue, Souaid pointed out that wiretapping exercised by the security services was legal, but other parties are conducting illegal phone surveillance, especially Hezbollah.
He then criticized the party’s communications network saying “it is forbidden to talk about it, and the excuse is they are resisting Israel”.
He added that some parties raised this issue to obstruct the work of the security services, and not in order to implement the law or preserve Lebanon’s security. He concluded that every time the Lebanese security services intended to carry out their duties, some considered it an attack on the Resistance’s being and security.
