LF Condemns Attacks on March 14 Supporters
The Lebanese Forces condemned the attacks against March 14 supporters in various regions in Beirut on Saturday after they participated in the commemoration of the fourth anniversary of the assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri in Martyrs’ Square.
The LF said in a press release issued on Sunday that the identity of the assailants and their affiliations were known. It also noted that the attacks led to the “martyrdom” of Lutfi Zeineddine and resulted in injuries to many citizens.
The LF described the attacks as a “crime” committed in broad daylight and in front of everybody.
They called on the security services to take the necessary measures to arrest the assailants, as well as those who motivated them, and to put them on trial.
