The Lebanese army confirmed in a communiqué on Sunday the death of a Lutfi Zeineddine in scuffles on Saturday in and around Beirut.
The statement said damage had also been caused to public and private property in and around Beirut.
"Military forces are pursuing several suspects in order to arrest them and hand them over to the judicial authorities," the statement said.
