Army fulfilled its duty
Democratic Gathering bloc MP Akram Chehayeb told Future News on Monday that the Lebanese army had carried out its duties in full and arrested those responsible for the clashes that followed the fourth commemoration of former Prime Minister Rafic Hariri’s assassination. He added that army had a CD containing the details and confessions of alleged perpetrators in the events.
Chehayeb called for supporting state institutions, which protected everyone, adding that the country could not tolerate any security breaches or violations of freedom of expression. He concluded that expressing political affiliations was a sacred right.
