Shehayeb: Ongoing Contacts between PSP-Hizbullah
Progressive Socialist Party member and MP Akram Shehayeb said ongoing contacts exist between the PSP and Hizbullah at both the security and political levels.
In remarks published by the daily Asharq al-Awsat, Shehayeb said Druze leader Walid Jumblat would still like to meet Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah "if the other side still wants that."
Shehayeb stressed that Jumblat”s calls for calm had preceded the death of PSP member Lutfi Zeineddine.
He said political differences should not develop into discord.
"Political differences are deemed legitimate, but discord is banned," Shehayeb emphasized.
